Hello everyone, it is with deep regret that I inform you of the passing of one of our FSM members, Robert Warfield. Many of you may not know Robert or his family since his wife Roberta, and their two children, Caitlin and William recently joined FSM. Their family have endured a lot over recent years and some of us met Roberta and her two kids during last year’s ski season.
I was lucky to meet Roberta, Caitlin and William during our December 2014 Stratton ski trip and at a Belleayre trip in 2015 where Roberta hosted an after ski gathering for FSM members at their lovely home near the mountain. She is a loving, caring person who has two great kids, and all are great skiers I may add. We are lucky to have them as members and I hope you all get a chance to meet them this season.
The service for Robert took place this past weekend. Mary Coiteux will be sending out a card from our FSM family. I just wanted you to know about Roberta and her family in case you have the pleasure to meet them and understand their situation. For now please respect their wishes for some quiet reflection with their family at home.
I hope all of you and your families are well. When I hear about losing a loved one I think about my own family losses. And it reminds me how great it is to have family and friends to lean on during these times. I like to think of FSM as an extended family with great people to help each of us through tough times as well as celebrate the good times. I would like to remind you that Mary Coiteux is our Sunshine Coordinator and I’m sure she would love to help pass on your happy news too. And when there is unfortunate news, pass that on as you wish so Mary can send you a card from our FSM family to tell you we’re thinking of you and your loved ones.
Thank you all for being great FSM members. I hope to see many of you this Sunday at our kickoff meeting at the Knights of Columbus in Lagrangeville. It starts at 2pm and we’ll have refreshments afterwards. Remember that if you wish to indulge in any alcoholic beverages, it is now “bring your own”.
Take Care and Be Safe!
