Hello everyone,
I am feverously working on our big trip out west for 2020. I’ve decided to go to an awesome ski resort that most have not skied and I know you will enjoy. Telluride, Colorado is a historic town in the middle of the southern San Juan Mountains with spectacular scenery and skiing/boarding. The town began as a mining camp in the late 1800’s and is a historic landmark. It has over 50% beginner and intermediate runs too, so there is skiing there for everyone, and of course some really crazy expert terrain for those crazy enough to try it J.
Dates we’re looking at are: Feb 23-29,2020 or Feb 29-Mar 7,2020
I don’t have all the pricing yet, but my goal is to keep this trip under $2,000 and it would include all air, transportation, hotel, and ski tickets. I found a property with ski-in at the end of the day, but it does not offer breakfast. It may be our best deal, but Snow Tours and I are still looking to see if we can find something comparable with a breakfast.
The reason I’m sending this email now is that the Epic and Ikon season tickets are on sale and if you are interested in buying those there are some things I must share with you.
- The sale ends this Sunday, April 14th for Epic and April 24th for Ikon
- You can purchase either of these through Guido Papas at Snow Tours (1-800-222-1170), just tell him I sent you.
- Telluride is only under Epic’s $939 level pass. However, if you do go to Telluride and buy the Epic pass to cover your skiing, Guido will reduce your price by $430 to not include a 5-day ticket for that week.
- If you plan to use the pass for other ski travels, this could be well worth purchasing the pass. This is your decision.
As soon as I confirm the week and the pricing, I’ll send out another note, including sign up information. I plan to keep this trip at 42 people.
