We have our November FSM meeting this Thursday(11/12) at the Wappingers Elks Club starting at 7:30pm. Make sure to join us this week as we’ll have our first ski ticket raffle of the year. Also come hear about upcoming trips, including our newly planned bus trip to Mt. Snow.
Rich Melanesi has pulled together a great deal for a bus trip to Mt Snow for only $70/person on Sunday, March 6th. This includes the bus and a weekend ticket. The price of a ticket alone at Mt. Snow is $90 so this is a great offer made possible by FSM subsidizing the bus cost and leveraging our Capital District Ski Council membership for cheaper ski tickets. Please go to the signup page and reserve your spot. All payments must be received by February 11th.
We had our fall social this past Saturday and had a very good turnout. Thanks to all for coming as we had a great time visiting, eating, and watching ski movies and laughing so hard the neighbors heard us :). By the way, I can’t say this enough times, but this club not only has awesome people, and skiers/riders/hikers etc, but the social events are just as much part of our family fabric. So whether you ski/ride or not, all are invited to join our events. It’s these events that help formulate great friendships and I thank you all for that.
We are forming a nominating committee for officers and coordinators. It’s not too early to start this process:). So far I have, myself, Terry Ciccaglione and Raul DeLeon on the committee and we would like a couple more volunteers. Please let me know if you are interested. Email me at ksteub@yahoo.com or come to the meeting this week.
We are looking for volunteers in the positions listed below, at least what I am estimating and know at this time. I cannot emphasize enough how critical it is for FSM members to step up and volunteer for these positions. Without you volunteering, we will no longer have a FSM club and that would be a shame after almost 50 awesome years of friendship, skiing and other activities. If you have not volunteered yet, then it’s your time to chip in. I know we’re all busy, but if we have more people chipping in then we can continue to maintain and hopefully grow the FSM family. I also know than anyone in a current position, including me, will be more than happy to help you learn the position responsibilities.
